Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our wall printing process. We’ve adapted these from industry best‑practices and our own experience to help you understand what Wall ePrint can do for you.

The wall printing machine is a revolutionary technology that allows for the direct printing of designs and images onto walls. It eliminates the need for traditional paint or wallpaper, providing a more efficient and customizable solution for interior decorators and homeowners. This innovative device utilizes advanced software and high-quality ink to create stunning and intricate designs on any wall surface, transforming living spaces into works of art.

Vinyl printing has several drawbacks: it struggles to adhere to textured surfaces, is susceptible to damage, and the colours can fade due to moisture and sunlight. Vinyl wraps are also costly, less environmentally friendly, and difficult to remove without damaging the underlying paint. By contrast, wall printing works on almost any surface, resists damage, and isn’t affected by environmental conditions. Our prints integrate design elements like drop shadows and textures that would be impossible with a vinyl sticker.

If it’s a vertical surface, we can likely print on it. Common substrates include drywall (even textured), glass, wood, brick, tile and more. Our prints use durable UV cured ink that hardens immediately under ultraviolet light, allowing us to work on plaster, wallpaper, stone, plastic, metal, and other materials without trouble.

No. We can either use the existing wall colour as part of the design or apply a layer of white ink first. While white walls provide the brightest results, we can even print on dark surfaces.

Our printing height is highly flexible: the vertical axis can be extended to reach up to about 4 m. In theory, the print width is unlimited. There are small margins near walls, floors and ceilings due to the mechanics of the printer.

Due to the offset of the wheels and track from the print head, we can’t guarantee full edge to edge coverage. For best results we recommend leaving a safety margin of about: Left corner – 23 cm. Right corner – 32 cm. Ceiling – 25 cm. Floor – wheels 36 cm. / tracks 45.5 cm.

Every wall is different. Obstacles such as light switches, outlets or internet jacks can either be temporarily removed (if safe to do so) or we can design around them. If removal isn’t feasible, we may adjust the print size or split the design into separate pieces.

Printing can take between 15 to 40 minutes per square meter depending on the size, complexity, quality.

We use specially formulated, Greenguard certified Nazdar branded UV ink. This ink is low odor and hardens instantly under UV light, allowing us to print without worrying about ventilation or after hours operation.

The print is dry as soon as the print head passes – the UV curing process hardens the ink immediately.

Absolutely. For outdoor prints we recommend applying a UV protectant coating. With proper protection, our exterior work can be warrantied for up to 5 years.

Yes. On glass surfaces the print can be scraped off with a razor blade. On other surfaces you can paint over the print with two or three coats of paint or primer. For wood or metal, sanding or sandblasting may be required.
